Welcome To The Manx Foundation For The Physically Disabled
The Manx Foundation is a “Manx” charity and has no support from a parent organisation in the UK. It was formed in 1974 and is the second oldest charity established in the Isle of Man.

The Work We Do
The Manx Foundation
for the Physically Disabled provides social care for adults who have physical disabilities. The day care services are provided Monday to Friday and cater for people with a wide range of disabilities and varying needs. There are two day care groups, the Young Ones whose ages range from 18 to 45, and the Day Club with no upper age limit.
In addition to the day care services, our Access Officer also provides an advisory service on matters relating to issues of access to buildings, goods and services.
We also provide a Community Transport service in the Douglas, Braddan and Onchan areas for people with a wide range of disabilities
Our Aims
- To improve the quality of life of people who have a physical disability and their carers
- To deliver excellent day care for service users
- To raise the profile and increase the awareness of the needs of local disabled people and disabled people visiting the Isle of Man; and
- To provide the first point of advice, guidance and education on issues affecting disabled people in respect of access to buildings, goods and services
